Amy began her exploration into the world of floral design while still completing her undergraduate degree at SMU. Curious to explore a field in design as a potential career, she happened upon a unique opportunity to intern at a high end floral boutique in Dallas. Immediately, she discovered a passion for this artistic craft. Eager to further her knowledge and determined to gain invaluable experience in floral and event design, she moved to New York City following her graduation. While in Manhattan, Amy designed under some of the top floral boutiques including Bloom, Belle Fleur, and LMD. She also worked for some of New York’s most notable event design firms, including Antony Todd, Preston Bailey, and Renny & Reed; collaborating on design teams that created such high profile events as Oprah’s 50th birthday party in Chicago and Donald Trump’s wedding in Mar a Lago. After four years of styling with these respected designers, Amy returned to Texas to establish her own floral and event design company, Merveille, a creation whose design concept reflects her passion for natural elements and the stylish influences of her New York experience. With a remarkable attention to detail and a love of color and texture, Amy delights in creating compositions and environments that are at once simple and impressively grande. |
